The Need for Persistent Storage and HCI

December 28, 2018 / GuidesFor Team

According to an article by Forbes, there are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data being created every day, this blurb included. That is a crazy amount of data, considering storage drives are only in terabytes it means we use up a lot of hardware storage daily. Centralized public and private data centers will need absolute agility to cope with that demand or else administrators will spend their workday installing storage devices. Hyperconvergent Infrastructure (HCI) creates a software-defined configuration per user and can upgrade or downgrade hardware resources as needed. This article talks about HCI as a solution to organizations with their own private data centers and does not want to use a third-party cloud service.
