According to Network World, Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) virtualizes elements of computing into a single software-defined system. It should at the very least, virtualized, the combined resources of the data centers computing, data storage, and networking elements of the entire infrastructure.
The software or hypervisor as the industry calls it controls all the aspects of those elements to simplify monitoring and management. This article is a list of a few of the many examples HCI can provide to a data center and why undergo such a complicated process.
